Magpie Tales....Whispers in the wind!!

The image provided today is quite interesting!!  Love the mirror!  I did play with the image before I wrote the piece.

Whispers

She saw him;
wherever she looked.
He was there;
and he just took.
Whatever she offered,
whatever she withheld;
he took.

She needed him;
whenever she dreamed'
He filled her;
just like it seemed.
Whenever she breathed;
whatever she hoped;
joy held between.

She held him;
whenever she could.
Her arms grabbed hold;
and held as they stood.
Whenever she felt bold;
whatever,  she dared;
it all felt so good.

She saw him;
wherever she looked.
He was there;
and he just took.
Whatever she gave ;
whenever he could;
she shook.

  3. "He just took.
    Whatever she gave.
    whenever he could."
    The story of far too many of us, I'm afraid...

  4. But isn't life all about give and take? Maybe of a better sort... :)

  5. She looked, she gave, he took and she shook... dark and sexy at the same time. I feel that it can go both ways. He could either have taken everything she gave, left her bare and shaking with cries. Or he took all the love she offered and made her shake in a different way. Yum!

  7. Great job SueAnn! Very shadowy and mysterious, yet sweet, like a hidden love story found in shadows and heartache. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks!!

  8. I can see all kinds of layers in this. I like the changed image too, which fits niecely with your rather dark words I think.

  10. I felt as though you wrote this with me in mind ... how silly of me. But it certainly resonated.
